What the hell is it with me and computers and/or computer-related devices??

Now my USB won't respond to any computer I put it into. I mean, for fuck's sake!

Thank god that, in a moment of amazing prescience, I backed up all the contents of my USB onto the hard drive of my desktop at uni. Though I'd better back up the contents of the desktop soon, or I'll be tempting fate. Things come in threes, and all that happy crappy. And only I could have a MacBook and a USB malfunction in the same month.

This had better not be an omen...

Actually, I seem to recall Dean had a similar issue with his laptop dying and his USB dying within a day of one another, but in this case he'd fortunately copied everything across to his supervisor's computer after his laptop died. Like you, one laptop death suggested that the whole technological world could come instantly crashing down around his ears...
