Here's a hint to all parents whose kids are scared of me:

Calling me the "Big Scary Man" and laughing will generally not (a) make the kid any less scared or (b) put me in a better mood.

Asking the same kid to "kiss Shayne on the cheek" just after referring to me as the "Big Scary Man" won't fulfill (a) or (b) either.
