[livejournal.com profile] jpom40 asked me an interesting question yesterday. If I were Dante, who would inhabit my levels of hell?

Well, I know who would be in the level where people are flayed alive for eternity:

All the bastards who ever had anything to do with the design of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or Acrobat.

GRRRAAAAAARRGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh God. I know your pain. Many many hours of hell. I eventually caved on a few things and got Michael to do them.

Kind of unrelated, but your title made me think... have you ever watched 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'?

No, in fact I'd never heard of it until you mentioned it...googling it, it looks intriguing.

Ah! Well, if you ever happen to watch it (it's fantastic and incredibly hilarious) there's an episode with a restaurant opening which has some strong resemblance to your title!

All those programs rock. I actually get in trouble at work for using illustrator too much (when I could have used Word).

I suggest you lose yourself in MS Paint.

Well, I have these phylogenetic trees I have to pretty up in Ilustrator (version 8.0 for Macs. Yep, old!) but whenever I go to paste the converted pdf or jpeg that I converted through Photoshop, the actual lettering on the tree os as blurry as hell. It doesn't matter how high quality I make the image either...

Do you know how to get aroud this?

That does sound a damn side annoying.

Alas I can't help you with that one though. Depending on how high res you want the image you could always do a screen dump of it and resave to see if that fixes the problem.

...or use a different picture... or use a different application... or a different computer. All highly unfeasible options, but worth mentioning nonetheless. Good luck
